Optimizing your VPS

There are times when you need to optimize your Virtual Private Server (VPS) so that it can support running multiple Metatrader for multiple trading accounts. You should first start with optimizing your Metatrader configuration. If it is still not good enough, then this is a guide to help you optimize your VPS.

Adjust your Window System Settings

  1. Open a Window Explorer ( or press Window key + E ), right-click on This PC, and click on Properties

  1. A System panel will appear. Click on Advanced System settings.

  1. System Properties will appear. Click on Settings in the Performance panel. Click on Adjust for best performance in the Performance option dialog and then click on Apply.

  1. Click on Advanced and then click on Programs so that your Metatrader gets the best performance. Click on Apply.

Regular Restart

You should regularly restart your VPS at the weekend (maybe once per month or once every two months). This will help you to ensure your VPS is always at optimum performance. To ease the restart, you can configure the window to startup all your Metatrader clients by itself when it is restarted.

If your VPS is still slow after you perform the above actions, then you can consider getting a cheap and reliable VPS from our recommended VPS provider.
