On and off, you will need to restart your Virtual Private Server (VPS) to ensure your VPS is always running on optimal performance. There are also times when you need to restart your VPS for window patching. This guide is to ease your restart by configuring the window to startup your Metatrader client after it restarts.
Add your Metatrader into Window Startup Folder
You can configure the window to auto startup Metatrader whenever you reboot your EC2.
- Go to run ( window key + R ) and then type in shell:startup
- Copy and Paste your Metatrader shortcut into this folder. If you have multiple MetaTrader clients, you need to paste multiple shortcuts to ensure Window will startup all of them.
- The window will start all the shortcuts in this folder when it reboots.
