Common Features of Limitless Trading Expert Advisors

To ease all our users to use our Expert Advisors(EA) or trading bot easily, we intend to keep all our EA’s “looks and feels” as closer wherever possible. This article is to list all the common features of Limitless Trading Expert Advisors. We will update here for any new common features across our EA. Hence, please visit here on and off to keep yourself updated.

Series of Martingale Orders

Before we talked about the common features, first we need to understand an important concept for Martingale EA Series of Martingale Orders.

Common Features for Our EA

All Martingale EA will decide whether to buy or sell based on its trend detection logic. Once the first order is open ( the direction is decided either buy or sell), the EA will keep opening more orders until it hit its target price.

All these orders are called Series of Martingale orders( all orders in the same direction and share the same target price). You can see in the comment fields that they have numbering of 1,2,3 and more.

For example, this is a series of Martingale orders that consist of 5 orders, and all orders have the same target price. You can mouse over to have a clearer view of the picture.

Trading Buttons

Available in Ophiuchus EA, Limitless EA, and Jakiro EA.

All our EA with Trading Buttons features will have a Panel as in the picture on left. The first 3 buttons are enable/disable buttons.

Green means enable and red means disable. Example as follows.

-> Trade buy is disabled. This means the EA will not open a buy order for the Next series of Martingale Orders.

-> Trade sell is enabled. This means the EA is allowed to open sell orders for the next series of Martingale orders.

All these enable/disable buttons will not have an impact on the current series of Martingale orders. Hence, you can freely enable and disable it without worrying it will impact your current orders.

These two buttons give more experienced traders the ability to control the trading direction of the EA

The following are two scenarios of using this feature.

  1. Scenario 1 -> You read some news and you believe that EURUSD will go up in long term. You can disable trade sell to ensure that the EA only will open buy orders.
  2. Scenario 2 -> You look at the chart and based on technical analysis, EURUSD should be in a downtrend. The EA is currently in a buy order. You can disable trade buy and the EA will look for the opportunity to open a sell order in the next series of Martingale orders.

You can let the EA determine the direction itself or you can control the direction if you are an experienced trader.

Close Orders Button

Close Profit Orders Button – This button is for users to manually close some orders in profit to reduce the risk for certain situations.

-> Close all orders that are in profit in the current series of Martingale Orders. Orders that are still in losses will not close. Once all profit orders are closed, it will update the target price. Close profit orders will make your target price become further from the current price. Using it too much might make your order harder to close. However, sometimes it is good to use it to reduce the risk on your current opening orders.

Good Scenario to use it -> You have 18 opening orders and now the price is moving in the direction that favor your current orders and you know that in the next hour there will be a Federal Reserve announcement and if the announcement does not favor your current order, your EA might have to open more orders and it might increase the risk of a Margin call. Since now you have quite a number of orders that are already in profit, you can click to close profit orders. Even if the announcement does not favor your order, your EA has more room to open more orders.

Close All Orders Button -> This is like an emergency brake for your car. Once this button is clicked, it will prompt a confirmation dialog, if you click okay, then all orders will be closed with losses.

Scenario to use -> You have 18 opening orders and now it is -20% of your capital now, based on what you read from the news, you think that this might drop further and you decided to take this -20% loss so that it won’t hit margin call. You click this button, and all orders are closed with losses.  You can let Ophiuchus open new trade again and decide the direction you want using the trade buy trade sell button. Please remember to adjust your lot size based on your remaining capital after you take losses.

Stop Trading Period Feature

Available in Ophiuchus EA, Limitless EA, and Jakiro EA.

You can schedule the EA to stop trading on a certain period by using the Stop Trading New Series Period.

When it is near the Start Time, it won’t impact the current series of Martingale orders. Once it is over the start time and before the end time and once the current series of orders are closed, The EA won’t open any order until the end time is over.

Scenario to use -> You know there is an important event coming (eg, US Election) and you know that might make the market very volatile. You can schedule to stop trading for the whole week of the event. Or you know you are going on holiday for a period and don’t want to monitor the market, you can schedule the stop trading period too.

Re-update profit target

Available in Ophiuchus EA, Limitless EA.

This feature allows you to change the profit target for all opening orders. The value is only true or false. When you change it to true and click ok, it will update all the current opening orders’ profit targets.

Re-update Profit Target

Scenario to use -> You currently have 20 opening orders and now you do not want to get any profit from the current orders ( or reduce profit, instead of 40 points, change it to 10 points). You just want all the orders close to reduce your exposure. You can update your profit target for each order to 0 and then change and re-update the profit target to true.

Intend to close all orders without profit.

The moment you click ok, all the opening orders will be updated to the new profit target. Remember to change your profit target for each order to a normal value after the orders are closed. If not, all the new orders open will have a profit target as your last profit target value.

Trend AutoSwitch

Available in Ophiuchus EA.

This feature will allow the EA to control the trade buy and trade sell buttons using long-term trends as below.

On the control panel there (under the trading buttons), you will see this LT Trend. It stands for the long-term trend. The long-term trend is determined using 50MA ( Moving Average) and 200MA.

Enable Trend Auto Switch by changing it to true.

By enabling this Trend AutoSwitch, the EA will disable the trade sell button when it is an uptrend and then will disable the trade buy button when it is a downtrend. Similar to the trade buy and trade sell button logic, it won’t impact the current series of Martingale orders, but it will ensure the new series follows the long-term trend.

Scenario to use -> You are a long-term trend trader and you want to ensure the EA only opens orders according to the long-term trend. You can just enable this Trend AutoSwitch and EA will control the trade buy and trade sell buttons using long-term trends.

By right following the long-term trends, in theory, should be less risky and can help to prevent margin calls. But when we backtest it, we realized having a long-term trend to guide the EA will make the EA more rigid and less dynamic to the market trends as long-term trend always take longer to change direction and it is not as flexible as a short-term trend. Hence, we disable this feature by default but traders can use it for certain use cases.

All these above are the common feature we have in multiple of our EA. Hope this can help you to control your risk and gain more profit. If you have any features suggestion, please do not hesitate to contact us. Features that can help our users will be considered and included in the Expert Advisor upcoming release.

Happy Trading!
