The following are the steps to install FxBlue QuickChannel into your MetaTrader 5.
- First, go to the FxBlue website.
- Click on Free Download
- You need to register an account to download QuickChannel Library (It is free to register). Just follow the steps to register an account.
- After you login, click on Free download again.
- The installer -> FX-Blue-QuickChannel-for-MT5-Setup.exe will be downloaded.
- Double-click to launch the installer. Window Defender might prompt and ask as it will put the publisher as unknown. Click on more info and then Run anyway to run the installation
- The installation will start with downloading certain files and then it will look for all MetaTrader 5 installations on your PC. Then it will list all the MetaTrader installations as follows.
- Click on Select All and then click Install.
- Make sure your MetaTrader is not running. If it is running, shutdown it first.
- Once the installation is done, you will see this message.
- The installation puts the library file -> FXBlueQuickChannel64.dll into a specific folder in your MetaTrader 5.
- Open up your MetaTrader, go to File -> Open Data Folder
- A File Explorer will appear to show your Data folder. Go to MQL5 and then Libraries Folder
- You should see the file as follows
- In the future, if you install a new MetaTrader 5, you can just copy this file and put it in the Data folder\MQL5\Libraries folder instead of running the QuickChannel Installation again.
