Before we end 2022, we want to release a new version of Ophiuchus, Limitless, and Jakiro EA. All the trading logic and algorithm are the same as the previous version. The only change for this version is the Trading Button Persistency.
If you are a user of our EA for some time, you will realize that every time when you change the configuration of the EA or restart the Metatrader terminal, all the trading buttons will reset to all green color. If your VPS gets restarted, you will also see the button get reset to green. It is particularly annoying when you have determined a direction for your EA ( either trade buy or trade sell ), your VPS get restarted and all button are enabled again then the direction of your EA change without your awareness till you check on your MetaTrader app in your phone.
We receive feedback from some of our users. That’s why we spent some time fixing this and here is the fix that will get rid of this annoying issue forever. Again, this is a good showcase that your feedback will help us to improve our EA. If you have ideas or feedback, please let us know. This trading button persistency will only impact the following 3 trading buttons. Every time, you click on the button, it will store the setting on the terminal. Every time when you open up the terminal, if your chart with EA remained open, the EA will retrieve your last setting from the terminal. The only way to lose your last setting is if your terminal is closed for more than 30 days. Then the last setting will lose forever. You will have to set it again.
Important Note
Please take note that this trading button persistence is stored separately by account number, symbol, timeframe, and magic number. This is to cater to a different kind of scenario and ensure the last state of the setting is stored correctly. For example, the setting for account 123, on EURUSD, for the M1 timeframe with a magic number of 789, is different from the setting for account 123, on EURUSD, for the M15 timeframe with a magic number of 789. In this example, the only difference is the timeframe. It means when you change the timeframe the EA will store the setting differently. If you change the magic number or log in with a different account, the trading button will reset and store a new setting too.
Should you upgrade?
If you never use these three trading buttons, then it is fine to keep it as the older version. Other than these button logic, the rest of the algorithm and logic remains unchanged.
Where to get the updated version?
For those that joined our apprentice program previously, you just need to go back to the same path that you get the EA previously to get the EA.
For those that purchase the license via our website, please contact us to request the latest EA version. (Please indicate the updated EA that you are using( Jakiro, Limitless, or Ophiuchus MT4 or MT5). Sorry that it has to be this troublesome for the time being as we are still exploring the best way to deliver an updated version in the future.
How to Upgrade?
Similar to the deploy EA process, copy the latest EA into MQL5/Experts folder, refresh the expert advisors in the Navigator panel and then drag the EA into the chart again. You will need to key in your license and set it one more time for your trading button configuration. After you set this time, the last configuration will be stored in the terminal.
